User’s privacy is of the utmost importance to Tenrox Inc. Tenrox Inc respects individual privacy and strives to collect and use personal information in a manner consistent with the laws of the countries in which does business.

The following statement describes the privacy practices for Tenrox Inc. (including its affiliates, divisions and wholly-owned subsidiaries) ("Tenrox"). This statement is divided as follows:  (I.) Tenrox's Online Privacy Statement, which addresses the privacy practices applicable to usage of the Tenrox website(s), (II.) Tenrox's SaaS Privacy Statement, which addresses the privacy practices applicable to information processed by Tenrox in its role as a Software as a Service ("SaaS") provider and (III.) Tenrox's General Privacy Provisions, which apply to both the Tenrox website(s) and Tenrox's role as a SaaS provider. Tenrox abides by the Safe Harbor Principles and the principles established in Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act ("PIPEDA").

Tenrox has been awarded TRUSTe's Privacy Seal signifying that this privacy policy and practices have been reviewed by TRUSTe for compliance with TRUSTe's program requirements including transparency, accountability and choice regarding the collection and use of your personal information.  TRUSTe's mission, as an independent third party, is to accelerate online trust among consumers and organizations globally through its leading privacy trustmark and innovative trust solutions. This online Privacy Statement covers use of the site www.Tenrox.com. All information disclosed by visitors is subject to this Privacy Statement. With respect to data received through its websites, Tenrox will comply with the following:

I.  Tenrox Inc. Online Privacy Statement

1. Information

Tenrox gathers personal information from site visitors from time to time in order to enhance existing offerings, respond to inquiries or provide additional services. The company gathers only the information essential for understanding visitors in such a way as to provide better resource management & scheduling, project planning, time & expense tracking, project billing & cost reporting products and services. This may include contact information such as name, email address, telephone number, and company name, and perhaps other data.

Tenrox also may monitor customer traffic patterns and site usage to help refine and improve the design and layout of the website as well as the user experience. As a result, Tenrox automatically tracks certain information about site visitors. This information includes the users' browser type, most recent URL and the next URL that the user visits, regardless of whether these URLs are on the Tenrox website or not. Tenrox also will track visitors' IP addresses. Tenrox uses this information to, among other things; identify broad demographic trends that may be used to provide information tailored to visitors' interests.

Any personal information given to us through our website is used exclusively by Tenrox unless otherwise noted on the site. Tenrox does not make this information available to third parties who trade or rent information for direct marketing purposes.

Tenrox does not collect e-mail addresses without the site visitor voluntarily providing us with this information (typically via our online information or demo request form, whitepaper request form, and other website forms and surveys). Tenrox will periodically use that contact information to send visitors e-mail or other communications for sales, service, support and marketing purposes. Visitors who do not wish to receive marketing e-mail from Tenrox in the future may opt out of receiving these communications by following the instructions included in each communication.

2. Web Beacons and Cookies

Tenrox uses Web beacons alone or in conjunction with cookies to compile information about site visitors’ usage of the Tenrox website(s) and interaction with emails from Tenrox. Web beacons are clear electronic images that can recognize certain types of information on your computer, such as cookies, when you viewed a particular web site tied to the Web beacon, and a description of a web site tied to the Web beacon. Tenrox may use information from Web beacons to provide site visitors with information about Tenrox and its products and services.  We do not link the information we store in cookies to any personally identifiable information you submit while on our site.

Tenrox collects cookiesprimarily for purposes of administering, protecting and improving the Tenrox website and its systems, to better understand the preferences of site visitors, to identify server problems, to compile aggregated statistics about site usage, and to help personalize the users experience on the Tenrox website. Cookies are alphanumeric identifiers that the hosting website places onto the user’s computer's hard drive. Cookies identify the user’s computer hard drive so that the hosting website can recognize the user the next time the user visit website. Tenrox uses cookies to collect and store some information about users, such as the name of the domain and host from which users access the Internet, the Internet Protocol (IP) address of the computer the user is using, the date and time the user accesses our website and the Internet address of the website from which the user linked directly to our website. Third Party Cookies and Web Beacons. From time-to-time, Tenrox engages third party web analytics companies to track and analyze usage and volume statistical information from individuals who visit the Tenrox website(s). These technologies help us better manage content on our site by informing us what content is effective.  Tenrox may also use other third-party cookies to track the performance of Tenrox advertisements. We do not have access or control over these technologies, nor do they link to our customers’ personally identifiable information.

3. Disclosure to Tenrox partners

Tenrox does not provide detailed information about individual site visits, nor the information visitors provide, to outside companies without visitors' permission. Tenrox may share aggregated information about the use of this site to companies with which Tenrox has business relationships.

II. Tenrox Inc. SaaS Privacy Statement

1. General

Tenrox is a provider of Software as a Service ("SaaS"). As a SaaS provider, Tenrox provides its customers with a suite of resource management & scheduling, project planning, time & expense tracking, project billing & cost reporting products and services.

Tenrox serves as a data processor for the clients who use Tenrox's products. Customers of Tenrox's resource management & scheduling, project planning, time & expense tracking, project billing & cost reporting products and services fill the role of data controller. Tenrox maintains only that information which its customers have asked it to process and processes it only upon, and in accordance with, the customer's direction and instructions. This SaaS Privacy Statement does not reflect the privacy practices of Tenrox's customers, and Tenrox is not responsible for its customers' privacy policies or practices. Tenrox does not review, comment upon or monitor its customers' compliance with their respective privacy policies, nor does Tenrox review its customer instructions to determine whether they are in compliance with or conflict with the terms of a customer's published privacy policy.

This SaaS Privacy Statement applies only to the transfer of personally identifiable information ("Personal Information") received by Tenrox in any format through its hosted solutions, whether supplied directly by Tenrox customers or by employees or users of the hosted solutions anywhere in the world, including transfers from the European Union and Canada to the United States. With respect to data received through its hosted solutions, Tenrox will comply with the following:

2. Notice/Use of Personal Information

Tenrox supports a hosted system, where it collects Personal Information including but not limited to customers' organizational data (salary and compensation figures and structures, job descriptions, job codes, reporting relationships), employee data (specific identifying information such as name, email/physical address, current/previous base salary, performance ratings, skills, skill gaps, qualifications, certifications, gender, ethnicity, language, and other demographical information), client data (project names, descriptions, due dates as well as information relating to project expenses, billing and cost) and other data required to provide Cloud-based Project Management Software for customers and their employees. Tenrox operates as a data processor for its customers. Tenrox maintains only the Personal Information which its customers have asked Tenrox to process and processes it only upon, and in accordance with, the customer's direction and instructions. It is the responsibility of the customer to ensure that the data the customer collects and later gives to Tenrox can be legally collected and disclosed in the country of origin. The Tenrox customer is responsible for giving its employees and users the appropriate level of notification that Personal Information is being collected and maintained. The Tenrox customer also is responsible for ensuring the security of any method used by the customer to provide Personal Information to Tenrox if through means other than the hosted solution.

3. Onward Transfer

Tenrox is a global corporation with operations in several countries. Tenrox has developed global data practices designed to ensure that Personal Information is appropriately protected. While Tenrox's primary data centers are in the United States, Personal Information may be transferred to our offices in other countries. Tenrox also may contract with third-party service providers to perform certain functions on our behalf or to enhance our existing product and service offerings. Examples include providing financial transaction, product and service support. If Tenrox discloses Personal Information to a third party or to our employees outside of the United States, Tenrox will ensure adequate protection of such Personal Information. Third parties will have access to your Personal Information only to the extent necessary to permit them to do their jobs; however, they are bound by confidentiality agreements before any information is provided to them and are restricted from using the information for other purposes.

III. Tenrox General Privacy Provisions

These general privacy provisions apply to both Tenrox's website and its cloud based/hosted  products and services. All information disclosed by site visitors, customers and other individuals or organizations is subject to these provisions. With respect to data received through Tenrox's website and its cloud based and/or hosted products and services, Tenrox will comply with the following:

1. Data Integrity and Access to Data

Tenrox will take reasonable steps to ensure that Personal Information is accurate, complete and current to its intended use. Tenrox will only use Personal Information in ways that are compatible for the purposes for which it was collected or subsequently authorized by the user.

Tenrox provides users with reasonable access to Personal Information that they provide to us as well as the ability to review and correct such information. In addition, to protect users' privacy and security, Tenrox takes reasonable steps to verify user identity before granting access to Personal Information. To request access to your information in order to change, update, delete or request that we no longer use it to provide you services, please contact us through one of the methods listed under the “Contacting Tenrox” section below.  Tenrox may limit or deny access to Personal Information where providing such access would be unreasonably burdensome or expensive in the circumstances. We will respond to your access request within 30 days.

2. Data Retention

We will retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services.  If you wish to cancel your account or request that we no longer use your information to provide you services contact us at privacy@tenrox.com.  We will retain and use your information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

3. Security

To prevent unauthorized access or disclosure, to maintain data accuracy, to allow only the appropriate exercise of users' Personal Information while also protecting the confidentiality, integrity and availability of users' Personal Information, Tenrox employs a variety of industry standard security technologies. Security is provided on the data, application and hosting level. The security infrastructure includes a physically secure data center, proven firewall protection, intrusion prevention measures, SSL encryption of all data in transit, role based authorization and additional proprietary security measures. Communication to Tenrox servers from a client computer is achieved through an SSL connection. This ensures data, including Personal Information, is encrypted when transferred over the Internet. Tenrox provides further user-based security configured specifically for the individual client's needs. Please note that no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure.  Therefore, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

Tenrox limits access to users' Personal Information and data to those persons who have a specific business purpose for maintaining and processing such information. Tenrox's employees who have access to users' Personal Information will be made aware of their responsibilities to protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of that information and have been provided training and instruction on how to do so.

4. Public Forums and Customer Testimonials

Tenrox may provide bulletin boards, blogs, or chat rooms on the Tenrox website(s). Any Personal Information you choose to submit in such a forum may be read, collected, or used by others who visit these forums, and may be used to send you unsolicited messages. Tenrox is not responsible for the Personal Information you choose to submit in these forums.

We post customer testimonials/comments/reviews on our web site which may contain personally identifiable information.  We do obtain the customer's consent via email prior to posting the testimonial to post their name along with their testimonial. To request removal of your personal information from our community forum or testimonials, contact us at privacy@tenrox.com .  In some cases, we may not be able to remove your personal information, in which case we will let you know if we are unable to do so and why.

5. Compliance and Enforcement

Tenrox has a Privacy Officer who is responsible for Tenrox's compliance with and enforcement of this Policy. Tenrox's Privacy Officer is available to any of its employees, customers, vendors, business partners or others who may have questions concerning this Policy or data security policies. Tenrox's Privacy Officer may be contacted by email at privacy@tenrox.com or by mail at Tenrox Inc., 1010 N. Central Ave., Glendale, CA  91202. If users have questions or concerns regarding this policy, they should contact Tenrox's Privacy Officer before filing any formal complaints with the Better Business Bureau or any other applicable organizations.

Tenrox complies with the U.S. – E.U.  & U.S. – Swiss Safe Harbor Framework as set forth by the U.S. Department of Commerce regarding the collection, use and retention of personal data from the European Union and Switzerland.  Information regarding the U.S. - E.U. & U.S. - Swiss Safe Harbor Framework can be found at:  http://export.gov/safeharbor.

7. Canada Privacy Principles

Tenrox abides by the principles established in Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act ("PIPEDA"). The PIPEDA principles are:

  • accountability/compliance with the principles
  • identification of the purposes/reasons for collecting the personal information
  • consent to the collection of the personal information
  • limiting the collection to only what is necessary in order to achieve the desired tasks
  • limiting the use, disclosure and retention of the personal information
  • maintaining accurate data
  • safeguarding data with appropriate security policies
  • making policies easily available to employees and customers

8. Notification of Privacy Statement Changes/Choice

Tenrox reserves the right to change, modify, add, or remove portions of this Policy at any time. All changes will be posted on this page to inform our users what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we may disclose it. We may e-mail periodic reminders of our notices and conditions, unless you have instructed us not to, but you should check www.Tenrox.com frequently to see recent changes. Unless stated otherwise, our current privacy notice applies to all information that we have about you and your account. From time-to-time we may provide you the opportunity to participate in surveys on our site.  If you participate, we will request certain personally identifiable information from you. Participation in these surveys or contests is completely voluntary and you therefore have a choice whether or not to disclose this information.  The requested information typically includes contact information (such as name and shipping address), and demographic information (such as zip code). 

We use this information to monitor site traffic or personalize the site (in the case of anonymous information collected in surveys), or to send participants an email newsletter.

We may use a third party service provider to conduct these surveys or contests; that company is prohibited from using our users’ personally identifiable information for any other purpose.
