Tenrox Chooses Laval To Serve New World Markets: A $2 Million Investment

The software development firm founded in 1995,Tenrox, invests nearly $2 million in the purchase of a 6,000-square-metre site and the development of a 2,000-square-metre building located in Laval Science and High Technology Park.

Tenrox plans to move into its new space towards the beginning of the summer. This ultra-modern building will have application hosting facilities, training rooms, gymnasium, cafeteria and lounge. "Our employees are our most valuable resources," says Mr. Ludwig Melik, Vice President of Sales and Marketing. "That is why we plan to create a pleasant and stimulating working environment." Tenrox now has 45 employees and plans to add around twenty other people by the end of the year.

A leader in workforce optimization services and software, Tenrox also designs Internet/Intranet software and client/server architecture. The company has witnessed strong growth since it’s foundation in 1995, with annual sales growth at 40% each year and over 100% in 1999.

A bilingual project management software tool called Tenrox Time & Expense is driving this growth. Using this software, managers get strategic information in real-time on each of their projects, the work progress and the costs. Various features not only allow detailed viewing of  timesheets, but also report generation, budget forecasting and the calculations of costs, expenses and income are all possible with Tenrox Time & Expense.

The latest version on the market, Tenrox Time & Expense, provides an intuitive and complete solution for time, cost, and billing follow-up.

The software may be installed on a network or on the Internet. Users enter their data from any location using a browser, e-mail or a Windows based application. The components of this software are designed to be easily modified as new developments in time tracking emerge.

E-commerce plays a major role in increasing Tenrox’s sales. With the help of the Internet, the company has been able to access markets as far as Australia. Potential buyers visit Tenrox’s site and can download the program for a trial. Follow-up is ensured and a demonstration is given over the Internet.

Among its clients, Tenrox counts U.S. and European companies such as Xerox, AT&T, Sony International, Lucent Technologies, as well as Cognicase, IBM Canada, Provigo and Laval Univeristy.

Since its official launch in 1997, Tenrox has not stopped improving and updating its Tenrox Time & Expense software. With the advent of the Internet and economic globalization, the company is now developing a new, more extensive version of its software that will include, among other things, the concept of multi-currencies.
