Tenrox On-Demand Successfully Completes SAS 70 Type II Audit Tenrox—the leading provider of workflow-driven Project Workforce Management Solutions—has received an unqualified SAS 70 Type II Service Auditor's Report for its on-demand offering. Developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), SAS (Statement on Auditing Standards) 70 is an internationally recognized auditing standard that validates that a software hosting and service organization has demonstrated adequate controls and safeguards when hosting or processing data belonging to its customers. Tenrox's SAS 70 Type II audit was performed by an independent auditing firm on its controls, activities and processes, including its site operations, software applications, internal control processes, and hosting facilities. Receiving an “unqualified” auditor's opinion for a SAS 70 Type II report indicates that all control objectives were achieved without a significant exception or deficiency. “Obtaining an unqualified SAS 70 Type II audit report validates the stringent control objectives we’ve implemented for our on-demand Project Workforce Management solution,” said Ara Israilian, COO at Tenrox. “With this certification, our customers can be assured that we have the adequate controls and safeguards in place for hosting, delivering and supporting their business and financial data with effective internal controls, as well as fully audited and compliant security, reliability and confidentiality. A SAS 70 Type I report, in contrast, only lists the service organization's description of controls as of a point in time and the auditor's assessment is limited to whether the controls were placed in operation and are suitably designed.
