Pasadena, California - February 26, 2007
Tenrox announces the availability of Release 9.1 – the latest version of the company's Project Workforce Management Solution. Release 9.1 packs a number of new features including a new Project Planning Module and integration with Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0. In addition, several enhancements have been made including improved project status views, shift and work schedule support, the ability to create custom dashboards, and more.
The new features and enhancements in Release 9.1 reflect Tenrox's commitment to the continuous improvement of its product offering. “Release 9.1 builds on the key improvements delivered in release 9.0 and it is based on customer feedback from the Tenrox User Conference and customer advisory board,” said Rafat Hilal, Vice President of Research and Development. All improvements are designed to provide end-users with additional flexibility, ease-of-use, configurability and alternatives for CRM integration.
New features and key enhancements in Release 9.1 include:
New - Tenrox Project Planning Module
The Tenrox Project Planning module is a simple intuitive tool that addresses the most common project planning requirements. The new functionality is tightly integrated with other Tenrox modules that allows for the sharing of its project related information including the work breakdown structure (WBS), Enterprise Resource Pool, resource assignments and remaining work. Equally, information such as actual work, assignments and estimated time to complete (ETC) can be retrieved from other Tenrox modules. The project planning feature set also includes import and export capabilities for Microsoft Project, GANTT chart views and real-time project status reporting.
New - Integration with Microsoft Dynamics CRM
Release 9.1 now leverages the Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0 feature set to provide an end-to-end, fully integrated solution that can be hosted or deployed on-premise. The integration of the applications will enable a greater level of collaboration and communication between the project workforce and the sales teams, while providing executives with a real-time holistic view of customer projects and engagements.
New - Dashboard Designer
Tenrox's new dashboard designer allows users to create custom dashboards and include elements such as Web parts, drillable graphs, pivot tables and reports built on Microsoft Analysis and Reporting services (OLAP and MSRS). Users can easily define the number of zones and select the data pieces that can be included from a gallery of web parts or standard Tenrox reports.
Project Status View
The new Project Status View gives users insight into all key project metrics within one consolidated view. This information describes the general project, financial information (actual versus forecast, versus budgets), milestones & resource utilization.
Shift and Work Schedules
Shift and work schedules are now included in Release 9.1 enabling organizations to easily manage the rules that apply to shift work in order to properly control workforce time and attendance policies. Organizations are able to define and assign all rules applicable to a shift and/or work schedule by user, or group including start time, end time, breaks, etc.
Additional Enhancements
The latest release also includes enhancements in the Workforce Planning and Purchasing modules. Overtime policies in regards to the California Wage Law have been added and the user interface now features non-modal windows.
