Futurist and Author Jim Carroll and Top Industry Analyst David Hofferberth to Keynote 2007 Tenrox User Group Conference
Program Focuses on the Theme of “The Rise of the Project Workforce: Managing People and Projects in the Flat World”

Pasadena, California - May 23, 2007

Tenrox, the leading provider of workflow-driven Project Workforce Management Solutions, today announced its third annual User Group Conference, to be held September 26-28 at the Indian Lakes Resort in Bloomingdale, Illinois.

The conference will include keynotes from futurist Jim Carroll, author of What I Learned from Frogs in Texas, and leading Project Management Industry Analyst David Hofferberth, of SPI Research. Sessions in specialized business tracks such as global workforce planning, collaboration, implementation and business process management, along with drill-down “Ask the Expert” workshops, will also be offered during the two and half day event.

“Excellence in project workforce management is one of the best ways our customers can compete more effectively in today's flat world,” said Rudolf Melik, CEO, Tenrox

“Our annual User Group Conference highlights real-world successes and challenges faced by our customers,” added Melik. “With terrific speakers who will provide us with insights, best practices and trends, customer and partner panels, and open access to Tenrox product experts, the Tenrox user conference has become the must attend Project Workforce Management event for our clients.”

Jim Carroll, a leading international futurist, trends and innovation expert, will kick off the conference with his presentation titled “Don’t Mess With My Powder, Dude: Managing People and Projects in the Flat World.” Carroll's presentation will focus on the fact that we live in an era of unprecedented and relentless change and sometimes conflicting generation gaps, while offering concrete guidance on how to turn challenges into opportunities by anticipating future trends and moving from a culture of indecision to one that is forward-thinking, decisive and innovative. Carroll is known for combining humor and high-energy with deep insight and challenging observations based on extensive research.

David Hofferberth, managing director of Service Performance Insight, will offer a session on “Project Workforce Management Trends and Best Practices,” gleaned from his 20 years experience in the information technology (IT) industry. Focused on the services economy, and in particular on white-collar productivity issues and the technologies that help people perform at their highest capacity, Hofferberth researches market trends associated with services organizations and the market positions and solutions offerings of software solution vendors.

In 1999, Hofferberth introduced Professional Services Automation (PSA) to the market, when he published the seminal report titled Professional Services Automation: Increasing Efficiencies and Profitability in Professional Services Organizations. This report helped define and propel the PSA market and introduced the concepts behind PSA to hundreds of services organizations, as well as to members of the independent software vendor (ISV) community.
