Architects Design Blueprint for Efficiency with Upgrade to Tenrox Cloud-Based Professional Services Automation

To improve operational efficiency and throughput, Markham, Ontario-based Petroff Partnership Architects has migrated its on-site Tenrox system to Tenrox cloud-based professional services automation (Tenrox Cloud PSA). The firm, which specializes in architecture and master planning for some of the world’s largest retailers and a range of institutional, government and religious organizations, will now be able to take advantage of the value offered by the Tenrox cloud-based platform.

Petroff supported its server-based version of Tenrox for 4 plus years. However, the firm found that it required more time and manpower than expected to perform needed maintenance and administrative processes. Server downtime resulted in a backlog of timesheets, delayed billing and the lack of important costing information required for project management. In one instance, it took more than 48 hours to bring in outside technicians and get the server back online.

“With Tenrox Cloud PSA, system monitoring, maintenance, repairs and upgrades will all be handled for about the same cost as doing it ourselves. But we actually come out ahead since staff will not be diverting time and attention from core business functions to maintain the technology,” Sommers explained.

Petroff will gain additional value since existing server and equipment can now be devoted to increase bandwidth and capacity for the company’s core business functions.
