Tenrox On-Demand is in Demand!

While analysts debate over survey results, predictions and trends that they may or may not be seeing in the adoption of SaaS (Software as a Service), Tenrox, like countless other solution providers, sees demand for its SaaS offering heading in one obvious direction… Up!

If the results from our 1st quarter in 2008 are any indication of SaaS adoption, the debate is over. The end of our first quarter marked several new milestones for the Tenrox On-Demand delivery model and resulted in the highest first quarter revenues since our inception in 1995.

Just over 90% of our new customers in the first quarter selected Tenrox On-Demand over our traditional perpetual license model. A record number of existing customers made the switch to our On-Demand offering and the total number of users leveraging Tenrox On-Demand grew by 35% as a result of the first quarter alone.

Regardless of how opinions of the analyst community shape up, the importance of Green IT, the idea of leveraging a “cleaner” third party to maintain and manage infrastructure that supports business solutions along with the obvious shortage in IT talent resulting from an aging workforce as well as the continual, inevitable need to replace and avoid legacy systems are enough to keep the popularity and adoption of the Saas delivery model growing for several years to come.

1) How to verify which version of the "Microsoft Data Access Components" is currently installed on the Windows setup?

1. From the Windows taskbar, select Start>Run.
2. Type Regedit in the Run dialog box, and click OK.
3. In the left pane, expand the tree to the following branch: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\
4. Select DataAccess.
5. In the right pane, the current version of the MDAC will be listed under the Version key.

2) How to manually process holidays in the Tenrox application?

1. Log in as the Master Administrator to the Tenrox application.
2. Go to Setup>Timesheet>Holidays.
3. Click the desired Holiday Set.
4. On the Holiday Set screen, click the Holiday Set tab.
5. Click the holiday to process.
6. Click the Process link on the Holiday Edit screen. It may take
   a few minutes to complete as the system will process the holiday for all users

3) How to add Note Types for the Quick Notes function in the
Tenrox Timesheet module?

1. On the Main menu of the Tenrox application, go to Setup>Organization>System.
2. Click the System Tables link.
3. Click the User Note Types on the System Tables screen.
4. Add or Modify the entries listed in the System Tables Edit screen.
5. Click Close.
6. NOTE: DO NOT DELETE OR MODIFY THE DEFAULT NOTE TYPES.
